Why it is hard

Why public sector data is harder than it looks.

Official notices are public, but rarely tidy. These are the five problems we plan for, and how we handle each.

The problem

Every portal publishes differently.

Central, regional and local authorities use different portals, layouts and formats, and key details often sit only in attached documents.

How we handle it

We map each source into one structure, read attached documents where you need them, and keep the source link on every record.

The problem

Notices are amended and corrected.

Deadlines move, budgets change and corrections appear as separate notices, so a snapshot can show terms that are already out of date.

How we handle it

Scheduled re-checks store every change with a timestamp, so you get the deadline history, the value history and the day each amendment appeared.

The problem

The same tender appears in several places.

National portals, regional portals and aggregators list one procurement under different titles and reference numbers.

How we handle it

We match notices by authority, title, reference number and dates, then merge them into one record that keeps every source.

The problem

Codes, currencies and languages vary.

Categories and classification codes differ between countries, amounts come in many currencies and notices are written in many languages.

How we handle it

We keep the original text and codes, and add normalized fields, such as one category scheme and amounts in one currency, where you ask for them.

The problem

Sites block and change.

Official portals use bot protection and redesign their pages, and scrapers quietly return half the rows.

How we handle it

Every pipeline is monitored with row-count and field checks. When a site changes or blocks us, we fix it. Maintenance is part of the service.

How it works

From your list of portals to a live data feed.

Tell us what you need

Share the portals or registers, the countries and categories, and the fields. A short call or a message is enough.

See a free sample

Within 24 hours of the call, depending on the sources, you get a sample from your own sources. You see the fields, the quality and the refresh rate before you commit.

Pick the schedule

Hourly, daily, weekly or monthly. We scope the price once you have seen the sample.

Receive and rely on it

Data arrives as CSV, JSON, Excel, Google Sheets, Airtable, in your database, through an API or in cloud storage. We monitor it and fix what breaks.

Common questions

Straight answers.

What teams ask before they start.

What public sector and legal data can you collect?

Tenders and procurement notices with authorities, budgets, deadlines and awards, plus grant calls, regulations, consultations and other official publications. On request we also collect planning applications, council agendas and public registers. Tell us the fields you need and the free sample shows what is possible.

Can you track amendments and deadline changes?

Yes. We re-check your sources on a schedule from hourly to monthly and store every change. You get value history, deadline changes and the day a notice closed, not just a snapshot. A notice that disappears is marked withdrawn, and if the page says it was cancelled, we record that too.

How do you match the same notice across portals?

We match notices by authority, title, reference number and dates, and keep every source on one record. Anything we cannot match with confidence is marked, not guessed.

Which sources and countries can you cover?

National, regional and local procurement portals, official gazettes, regulator websites and open registers, in any country and language. If a source is not practical, for example because of heavy blocking or a login, we tell you upfront, before you commit to anything.

Is scraping public sector websites legal?

We collect publicly available data only, such as the notices, deadlines and documents any visitor can see. Many public bodies publish openly, but rules differ by country and by site, a site's terms may restrict automated access, and some records, such as court decisions, can contain personal data under laws like GDPR. We flag risky sources and fields before we build. We are not lawyers, so for sensitive uses we recommend checking with your own counsel.

How do I receive the data?

CSV, JSON, Excel, Google Sheets, Airtable, your own database, an API or cloud storage, on a schedule you choose, ready to feed your alerts, tender platform or dashboard.

How much does it cost, and how fast can we start?

Pricing depends on sources, volume and frequency. We scope it after a free discovery call and sample. Most samples are ready within 24 hours of the call, depending on the sources.
